P45-Glacier Trail – the highest marathon of the Alps

The first section of the route begins with a crisp ascent to the 3,070 m Mittagskogel Scharte and then leads over the glacier to the Braunschweiger Hütte. The start and finish in Mandarfen is passed once before the panoramic trail leads to the Sunna Alm. From here, spectacular panoramic glacier views await the participants. Passing the Rifflsee lake, the route continues along the Fulaer Höhenweg trail to the Taschachhaus and back to Mandarfen. This alpine trail marathon is just right for runners who want to get off the road and are looking for a sufficient challenge with approx. 45 km and approx. 2,900 metres of altitude. The P45 Glacier is aimed at well-trained runners with marathon experience, ambitious half-marathon finishers, mountain runners, long-distance triathletes and beginners in ultra running.

The specified mandatory equipment and the specified cut-off times are obligatory for all participants for safety reasons.

Short-term route changes are possible due to weather conditions.
