Aid Stations
The trail runners of the Pitz Alpine Glacier Trail can recharge their energy reserves at impressive locations in Pitztal’s alpine world!
Aid stations are located at two fascinating mountain huts up to 2,817 metres above sea level, which are famous far beyond the alpine region: the Kaunergrathütte (P105, P90) and the Taschachhaus (P105, P90, P60, P45-Glacier, P45-Rifflsee, P30).
Furthermore, the runners can stop at the quiet and small Arzler Alm for refreshments (P100, P90) and enjoy the unique panoramic views of Rifflsee lake and the modern architecture of Sunna Alm (P105, P90, P60, P45-Glacier, P45-Rifflsee, P30, P15).
At the top station of the Glacier Express at Pitztal Glacier, trail runners (P105, P90, P60, P45-Glacier) can enjoy the view of Tyrol’s highest glacier.
For the participants of P105, P90 & P60 there is another smaller refreshment station in the hamlet of Trenkwald. The runners of the P105 & P90 can additionally recharge their energy in Stillebach.
As the individual sections will continually take the trail runners from all competitions back through the start and finish straight in Mandarfen village, spectators can easily cheer and spur on their loved ones.
